A look at the Town in December

Like many towns and villages in Devon, Hatherleigh is lit up for the festive season of Christmas 2005, and many different ways of celebrating the season of goodwill are taking place.

We are trying to capture the flavour so keep visiting as this page will be updated with Carol Singing, Silver Bands, perhaps some Christmas Services too, and probably lots more, shortly.

REMINDER: Another unique Hatherleigh happening is coming! The 'Walruses' do their annual jump into the river on January 1st - come and watch if you can as it's a huge laugh with lots of silly Fancy Dress and a bonfire, plus each year more gets added to entertain the crowds. .Net will be there with TWO cameras, so look for the extended Picture Report of this key charity event.

An odd position because so much in the Square is in the wrong place - poles, toilet signs, lamp posts all get in the way. Ah well, maybe next year!	Not an easy shot - timing is all. It really needs to be taken as the sun is setting and as the lights are switched on. We may try again later.
