St Johns Christmas Tree Festival 2005

"Don't forget the trees in the Church!" came the shout across Bridge Street one day last week as we tried to snap a few shots of the tree in the Square. We looked up from our lens to see Fay approaching. She explained a little about the Tree Festival in St Johns and we promised to take a look.

So, the day job suspended for the duration, we found time to look into St Johns yesterday and were impresssed by what we saw, not just because of the number of trees on display but by the creativity, wit, topicality and care that have gone into the exhibits.

Below you'll find a shot of each tree. In most cases the photograph does not do justice to the thought that has gone into it so a visit is recommended.

We're not suse what else to add - but if someone could bring us up to date with the background then we'll be pleased to include more information here.

The Festival is open untill the 30th and is highly recommended.
