SALAR GALLERY CHRISTMAS EXHIBITION
1 December 2007 to 5 January 2008
Selected Artists include: Shan Miller, Anne Farrall Doyle, David Howell, Kim Woodward, Julia Barton, Eileen Gold, Leo Raymond, Pam Cox and Paul Hardy.
Silk Scarves from Joy Moss and Isabella Whitworth, Pottery from Maryjane Carruthers, Glassware from Margaret Johnson and Lamps from Inka Gabriel.
Also Prints (Farcical Foxes) from Leila Winslade, Prints and watercolours (landscapes) from Bob Goldthorpe and Prints (flowers) from Ann Cotterill.
We have a great range of art and craftwork mainly from Devon as well as all sorts of things for Christmas including Church and scented candles, Christmas cards and decorations and St. Justin Jewellery.

The Salar Gallery opened in the centre of this market town in 1991 to provide an exhibition space for local artists and craftspeople.
It displays and sells original work, mainly by Devon artists, much of it reflecting the character and beauty of this unique corner of rural England. These include local scenes by Eileen Gold, landscapes by Paul Hardy, Ken Hildrew,David Howell, Ron MacKnight, seascapes by Harry McConville, railway scenes by Bernard Jones GRA, paintings on silk by Hermione Dunn, sculptures by Jean Buchanan, Jo Seccombe, Charlette Marlow and Roger Dean as well as photographs by Jen Bryant, woodcarvings by Colin Burlton, and turnery by Chris Walker and metalwork by Peach and Bill Shaw. Changing monthly exhibitions from April to December.
We also have prints of Dartmoor by Widgery, rural scenes from Michael Cooper, animals, flowers by Anne Cotterill, plus wide selection of cards, books, jewellery, church candles etc.
