Rowland Devonshire Meat

Quality beef and lamb from our prize winning Rowfold Beef Shorthorn herd and Poll Dorset sheep flock and pork from the pigs who free-range amongst our orchard.

All our stock are reared by traditional methods on our wildlife-rich holding, allowing slow maturing and under conditions where their welfare is of paramount importance.

Our Beef Shorthorn herd, renowned for its “marbling” through the meat which maximises flavour and tenderness are born and reared on rolling grassland, being brought inside for the winter in preparation for their finishing on grass. All concentrate feeds are sourced locally and forage is either home-grown or from neighbouring farms.

The Poll Dorset flock has been established for some sixteen years, lambing indoors in one of our straw-filled barns, the lambs have the best possible start in their life before being turned out to mature at their own pace to produce the flavour and tenderness for which the breed is so renowned.

Pork is now available from our free-ranging pigs, producing a lean delicious meat but with enough fat to make the crispiest of crackling. We are pleased to be able to supply sausages and bacon as well as gammon steaks and joints to compliment the pork selection.

The meat is locally slaughtered, expertly butchered, packaged and labelled, tailored to each customer's requirements. We can now offer vacuum packaging or normal bagging. All meat is fully traceable back to the animal's birth on our holding.

Beef is available in various box sizes or quarters, lamb and pork either in whole or half lamb/pork boxes.
