Big Boys Day Out
By Neil Price, Co-Editor

March 26, 2012:

Hatherleigh Market held a Specialist Poultry auction, on Saturday, together with a auction of tools for the garden and home. While the Big Boys were drawn to the occasion by Mary Phillip's rally of Vintage Tractors, Motor Bikes and old favourites Austin 7's and Morris minors in the nearby field. Mary Phillips is heading to foreign parts by tractor on her trip from Lands End to John o Groats at 9 mile per hour at the end of July. This will be her 4th Sponsored Drive in the past she has raised around £20 000. This year she will driving her Orange Field Marshall Tractor 3A through the country lanes of England before entering into Scotland on her way to John o Groats in aid of the local Devon and Cornwall Air Ambulance Trusts. The thousand mile journey will take and estimated 115 hours of driving. Good luck Mary. By the way she will be celerbrating her 72nd birthday "On the Road", not a Neal Cassady, a more gentle english version You can sponsor Mary Here
