What is your Passion?
By Neil Price, Co-Editor

March 4, 2012: Cricket, Tennis, Whist, Football, Badmington, Chess. Did you know all these and more are available in and around Hatherleigh.
At the recent PLAN-IT consultation meeting several people asked how they could make contact with certain Clubs and Groups with a view to joining. New residents in particular were not sure where to start.
To help these people and to help the Clubs and Groups increase their membership the Community Centre is organising a Clubs Membership Fair. All Clubs are invited to set up a stall on a table or part table and meet members of the public. They will have the opportunity for an informal chat with visitors to explore the costs, commitments and benefits of joining a group.
The commitment by each Club or Group is a representative for about 2 hours to encourage new members to join. There will be no charge to attend the event. Light refreshments and a bar will be available. The date for the proposed Clubs Fair is 23 June 2 4pm. If your Group or Club is interested in taking part please contact Alan Beaman alanbeaman@btinternet.com (01837 810024) before the end of April. If you cannot make the meeting and would like to join a club please check out clubs and groups page here
