April 10, 2006: The Pump has received a grant of £2,500 for a Booklet maker, computer and printer so the standard of the publication should improve especially as Steve Carter, volunteered his wife to give some training, at the AGM, to yours truly!
The booklet maker will be available for use by the community for a small charge, initially it will be in the Hatherleigh Area Project Offices above the Fish and Chip Shop and later it will be situated at the New Community Centre. Keep in touch with this site for an update on it's arrival. See full minutes here
That is not all! At the AGM it was decided that due to the healthy state of accounts of the Pump with no small contribution from the lottery players amongst you has agreed to donate £1000 to a local not for profit organisation(s), if your organisation wishes to apply please either email neil@hatherleigh.net , or drop a request into 41, Bridge Streeet, EX20 3HZ or at the Tussie Mussie.
Sadly it is not all good news, at the AGM, both the treasurer and the advertising agent gave notice of their intention to stand down during the year. The bright idea of mine to split the jobs have not been too successful so we are looking for a willing person to take on the role. Please contact me 01837 810323 if you are interested and like collecting money.
