The Pink Ladies go to the Movies!
By Neil Price, Co-Editor

August 13, 2009: The Pink Ladies Calendar 2010 The long-awaited sequel to the Pink Ladies Calendar will be released in October 2009. This year we have put aside the scantily clad option (well, mostly), and have a new theme – “Hatherleigh At The Movies”. We will be replicating scenes from much-loved classic films, starring members of our colourful and diverse community – any further info is being kept under wraps – we want you to buy it !!! Proceeds from the 2010 Calendar will be split between two charities:- Hospiscare Devon (also be the beneficiary of this years Ball in September) which is a local hospice charity offering high quality care and support to people with life-threatening illnesses and those close to them, throughout Exeter, mid and East Devon. For more information go to www.hospicecare.co.uk, and; RABI – The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute – which is a grant-making charity that supports members of the farming community facing need, hardship or distress. They were founded in 1860 and have an unbroken history of providing long-term care and emergency help. In 2010 RABI is very proud to be celebrating its 150th anniversary. RABI’s fund-raising year begins in October with “Welly Week” – 10-17 October 2009, which may give a bit of a clue !!?? For more info on RABI, go to www.rabi.org.uk. “The funniest calendar you’ll see all year” says the (totally fictional) Hatherleigh Harbinger News, so look out for the Premiere of the “Hatherleigh at the Movies” 2010 Calendar in October.
