IS this how you saw Hatherleigh?
By Neil Price, Co-Editor

December 17, 2008: A book and a story, an idea that becomes a history and a portrait of a village (some believe it is a town). The book is “AS I SAW IT” by Eileen Gold. The book gives an emotional portrait of the town of Hatherleigh (p.32-37) reflects in paintings, people at the place (P.33-P38), stories that you imagine (some believe they remember). May be it was like Eileen portrays it, you decide, who really knows what it was like. Everyone has their idea of Hatherleigh and we discuss it endlessly in the Tally Ho!(P.21), The George (p.15) and The Bridge.
