More Tributes and Music
By Geoff Hodgkinson, Co-Editor

CLICK TO READ POSTER September 30, 2008: We seem to be surrounded by tributes! The Beatles tribute band (see below) was followed by a nice message from Sue Jones who once lived in Hatherleigh, saying how much she liked the web site. Next, the Community Centre has alerted us to the Elton John tribute band coming shortly to their venue. The poster is shown here. Click to read a full sized version for the full facts. The Centre is featuring 'Mostly Songs from the Shows!' on October 22nd, with music from Gilbert and Sullivan, West Side Story and Guys and Dolls, in aid of Community Centre Funds. Tickets from Salar Gallery. Then, on Saturday November 29th, there's an 'intimate' evening with Louise Parker, who's a big hit on the festival circuit apparently and a regular on Radio 2ís Best of Jazz. Louise is a powerful live performer and a skilful interpreter of swing, blues and gospel classics. Tickets 01837 810239
