A get together before the talk by one of the last dam busters.

August 18, 2008: A get together before the talk by Johnny Johnson bomb a aimer in one of the aircraft on the Dam Buster raid in 1942.
Tea and snacks were arranged for some War time R.A.F.Personal before the Hatherleigh History Society meeting on Monday the 11th. about 55 attended the talk which is some what a record filling the old schools to capacity
The get together included.
Johnny Johnson Bomb aimer (Torquay)
Ken Westcott - Pilot, (Hatherleigh)
Trevor Moss - Navigator, (Jacobstowe)
Derek Sanders - Engine fitter, (Hatherleigh)
Philip Jenkins - Gunner.(Shebbear)
Ian Mcphail Bomb aimer (Torquay)
Peter Witts - Gunner (Barnstaple)
Ages Together amount to almost 600 years.
