The bells ... the bells!
By Geoff Hodgkinson, Co-Editor

June 9, 2008: Hatherleigh Bell Ringers won two out of three classes in the Deanery Bell Ringing contest held at St Johns Church on Saturday. Chagford, by far the best team we are told, won the Full Team class but Hatherleigh triumphed in the Intermediates and Novice classes. We attended with our camera in the hope of getting some action shots but were barred from the tower during any of the pulls. Trying out our skills at ringing beforehand we quickly realised the concentration needed and fully understood the ban. Nevertheless we managed to get some atmosphere shots and a full page picture report is now on line here.
