Digital Picture Show Update
By Geoff Hodgkinson, Co-Editor

March 14, 2008: The Digital Picture Show of the 2007 Carnival starts tomorrow evening at 7.30 in the back bar of The George Hotel. There's a dual screen projection system with full sound to cover all sections of the bar, so everyone is guaranteed a good view (and hearing) of the presentations. Included are pictures of both 2007 processions, plus the Tar Barrels World Tour. A brand new film of the 2007 Tar Barrels is also being premiered, with footage of the Friday night children's pull and the Saturday morning run. "It's a spectacular record of this important Hatherleigh event," says producer Geoff Hodgkinson. "We covered the morning run with five cameras so we have a complete record from beginning to end, which we think is a 'first'." Pictured is Carnival Chairman Mark Reddaway doing some housework on the barrels prior to their World Tour!

STOP PRESS: a 20 minute film of the Walruses' 2008 dip on New Year's Day will be shown after the main Carnival picture show is over (probably starting at 9.30pm).
