The Evening Dinner Party

November 24, 2007: on the 17th November at 41 Bridge Street raised £252:20p for St. Michael's Hospice.
The evening started with the usual panic that accompanies these occasions will the lamb be cooked? is there too much salt in the sauce? Thank to the chefs Sue and Jeannette we didn't have any complaints and the participants all left full and contented.
The Cough and Splutter was transformed for the occasion and thanks to the sponsors, the chefs and helpers all the money collected has been sent to St. Michael's Hospice. The sponsors were:- Plovers Plants, Meeth. Waitrose, Okehampton, Co-op, Devon Direct Insurance, Angels and Petals, Curworthy Cheese, Cornucopia, Hallwood Fresh Veg, Peter's Porkers, Hatherleigh Hampers and Sarah and Chris Wonnacott. The next events at “The Cough and Splutter” are Chess at 3pm on Saturday 1 st December and a Cough and Splutter at 7:30pm on Friday 14 th featuring Stiff Joints.
