July 14, 2007: The Festival continued last night with music in the Square, starting with the Silver Band and finishing late with Crazy Mama. At the Centre, The Queens kept a frantic crowd dancing until 11.30 with their Freddie Mercury tribute. In one sense this band was disapppointing - how original can you be when you aim to replicate a master - but there was no doubting the energy and passion of their performance. The crowd responded enthusiastically up to the final final encore, when vacuum cleaners and Union Jacks whizzed around the stage. A great evening. An even nicer picture here, with more to come.
