Lock, Stock and Barrel
By Geoff Hodgkinson, Co-Editor

August 8, 2016: Saturday's Tar Barrel Challenge started off slowly but after the first pull things speeded up. By the end of the day, 27 runs had taken place. The original idea was for 4-person teams but that changed as people saw the possibilities. An Iron Man class was created off the cuff for solo pullers, including Dale who was determined that someone from the TB Committee should show willing. His time of 4 mins 41 seconds was not the fastest of the day but his performance was impressive. Several lady duos also turned up, with the last-minute pair the London Girls demonstrating a highly-effective barrel pulling technique. Over 500 pictures were taken by me and Derek Stratton. I'll get the best online asap. To keep things going, here's Ricci winning his own "I'll carry the bloody thing" award. More follows.
