Rickshaw Team Reaches Okehampton
By Geoff Hodgkinson, Co-Editor

November 8, 2015: Saturday evening saw the Children in Need Rickshaw team cycle into Okehampton after a 13 hour ride from Padstow, 60 miles away. Lucy was riding as the entourage came into the town. She gallantly pedalled into a small pen erected just outside the church where welcomes were made and photos taken. We found a great spot right near the church door and managed a few nice photos of our own, including this one showing Matt Baker speaking to the crowd shortly after arrival, with Lucy (left). The spectators had waited for more than an hour but were kept entertained by Pudsey and various other characters and were well rewarded for their wait when Matt came over and selfied his way round the perimeter. Today the team has been riding to Taunton (60 miles) and from there will go on to Bristol and eventually London. Please contribute generously to Children in Need and watch the One Show on Monday to see if the Okehampton stopover makes it to the small screen.
