Blimp to Fly at Hatherleigh too!
By Geoff Hodgkinson, Co-Editor

June 24, 2014: Local residents opposed to the Heane Farm Turbine proposal have organised a Blimp to fly near the proposed site on Sunday June 29th. Adela Thornton-Wood, who lives in North Cleeve Farm just 500m from the proposed site, says that a last-minute license has been obtained to fly the Blimp from North Waterhouse Farm, which lies close by the intended site. Ground level is about 23 feet lower but Adela thinks it will show the scale of the 77m high development and is encouraging people to walk there on Sunday because a) parking is limited and b) it will give a better idea of how the turbine will affect its surroundings. PUBLIC MEETING - A REMINDER: Have your say at the public meeting tonight (see poster below). Radio Devon has been full of the story all morning - including a phone interview with Adela. The Western Morning News is also covering the story HERE
