Lewie's Head Shaved
By Neil Price, Co-Editor

February 3, 2014:

14 year old Lewie Embling from Hatherleigh had his head shaved to raise money for the charity Children with Cancer UK, on Sunday 2nd February, in the Tally Ho pub. Supported by friends and family, Lewie who had quite long and thick hair handed himself over to local hairdresser Michelle Heyman, who kindly gave her time to shave every last hair from his head.
Lewie was inspired to help the charity after hearing the story of 9 year old Charlie, who had suffered from cancer from being just a few months old, and due to his delicate immune system, had only met 7 people in his life. Lewie just felt that he needed to do something positive to help children like Charlie. So far about 500 has been raised and Lewie's Just Giving page
www.justgiving.com/lewie-embling will remain live for a while yet, along with a collection box in the Tally Ho pub, for any donations people might like to make.
