The School Fete
By Neil Price, Co-Editor

July 10, 2013: Lynne cutting the ribbonThe School Fete and the opening of the new smoking shelter, sorry outdoor classroom! Was well attended by parents and hangers on, like the pump crowd. The outdoor classroom was paid for by the sterling efforts of Lynne Strawbridge and the Hatherleigh School Association, who coerced various local groups into help, the moor management committee, the Pump and Okehampton Lions Club amongst others. Lynne cut the ribbon to declare the classroom open. The fete also included the regular event of gunging the teacher, this year it was Sam, the feeble excuse being she was soon to be wed. Good Luck to her in the future.
