UK SALES TAX: This is called Value Added Tax, or VAT. For orders from the UK or the European Union we must by law include 17.5% VAT in the price. Buyers from outside the EU benefit from the tax-free price.

IMPORT DUTIES: We are not liable for any import duty/tax imposed by your customs authorities and we cannot predict the outcome of any assessment made by them. In our experience, about 10%-20% of packages (generally the higher value ones) are assessed. The amount of duty charged varies from place to place (and perhaps even from time to time); in USA, 8% seems to be the norm but you are strongly recommended to check with the relevant authorities in your country if you feel this is an important issue.

PAYING IMPORT DUTY: In USA, duty seems to be collected by the delivery agent so the process is fairly painless.
