Made Well Does Well at The Funday on 29th August 2011

Deciding if we will have a cream tea or meringues and cream. Good day had by all. The weather was kind too.

Great fun was had by all at Madewell open and fun day.
A big thank you to all you hard working people that know who you are, that went to make it a really fun day for all those that attended. From the babies to the elders, and all those of us in between , a good day was had by all.
The allotments were looking their best-- thank you to those who helped us to get the gardens looking magnificent. A new addition will be raised beds for the allotment group next year. 6 new beds will be available for those who may find gardening at hip height easier.
The sun shone and spirits were high. Sofa surfing in the new barn was a treat for those brave enough to have a go. Stalls, face painting and lovely cream teas were enjoyed by all. The shop was open for the first time as the "garden kitchen " and the produce stall that functions on a Tuesday in the market was as popular as ever, selling our own grown products. We had a sale of some of our own home made willow products. If you are interested in learning willow weaving we would be happy to arrange a day for you to produce your own baskets or hurdles. Come along and have a look at what we can do. We grown our own willow and make living willow structures too.
Day opportunities for local differently able people, volunteers and unemployed people are available.
