The George Hotel
RIP |
A fire that started in one corner of this historic coaching inn eventually raged unchecked throughout the building on December 23rd 2008 while stunned locals watched in disbelief. Although the fire died down in the early hours leaving ancient walls and stone chimney stacks standing, the building was razed to the ground within hours by demolition crews. Annual auction where anything and everything goes. Held this year in The Bridge. |

Devon's brightest and best Carnival got rained on this year but continued nevertheless. The rest of the day was fine and things took place more or less according to plan.. |

The new owners of the Bridge chose October 31st 2008 for a Children's Halloween Party. There was a competition to find the best little horror! |

Barrels Half Marathon August 2008 |
The Tar Barrel Boys attempt to pull a set
of Barrels to Winkleigh, and back!. That's 13 1/2 miles, or a half
marathon distance. Find out if they managed to complete the pull. |

The Hawaian theme was dampened by wet and
windy weather, but t'was an excellent event nevertheless. |
