Meeth Guild
Last month’s meeting was held on 19th January, Paul Rendell came along and gave us a talk and a slide show relating to Dartmoor. He does a wide variety of topics on Dartmoor, we chose on this occasion ‘Towns and Villages of Dartmoor’ and as it was an interesting evening we will probably invite him to come along again.
Our next Guild meeting on 16th February will be with Jeneca Beads and we will be having a go at making jewellery. Wishing you all a Happy New Year.
Rose Goldwater.

The Tar Barrel Committee held their final meeting on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 at The Cricket Club. The committee agreed that both barrel runs went smoothly, despite the sodden pull up on the Friday night. The pullers would like to say “well done and thank you” to all the children who braved the elements and helped get both sets of barrels up to Oakfield Road. You have real Carnival spirit.
The Committee have decided to donate monies raised to Hatherleigh Fire Bridage and to the chosen Charity of The Half Moon at Sheepwash.
The first Tar Barrel meeting is on Wednesday 5th May 2010, 8.30pm at Hatherleigh Cricket Club. New members are welcome to come along.
