"If you haven't been down to Third Thursday, Rhythm and Booze, at the Bridge Inn Hatherleigh, put August 19th in your diary.
That is the date of the next one......and it promises to be a corker.
There are three bands set to play "4 to the bar" a jazz/blues quartet, followed by Hot Rock classics delivered by Kerina with her fabulous voice and brilliant band. Indecision will finish off the night on a Bluesy Rocky high.
Josie Lloyd will start off the evening with a selection of ragtime and blues tunes played on her National resophonic guitar and then it's open mic..... open to any musicians who want to showcase their talents.
Don't be shy! If you know somebody who would like to play tell them to get on down nice and early to get a space we kick off at 8.15pm.
Nervous newcomers will be warmly welcomed, everybody has to start somewhere! The rhythm "n" booze night was set up to support and promote local musicians.
Third Thursday is organized by Josie with Martin Orbell from Sound and Light High of North Tawton who provides and operates the PA to make sure you sound your best..
So come along, support local live music, and join in the fun!" www.myspace.com/josilloyd.
