Heathen Harvest - March 12 
Common Players are coming to Hatherleigh Community Centre with their special blend of high energy clowning, comedy, storytelling and song "Heathen Harvest" to be performed on Friday 12th March at 7.30pm, Tickets £5 Adults, £2 child. Ploughman's Supper available. Come along and celebrate the Glorious Apple!

Saturday Cafe - March 13 
Saturday Café and Bingo We have two fundraising activities in March - Saturday Cafe on Saturday 13th March from 12noon and Easter Fun Bingo on Saturday 27th March at 7.15pm.  Both held in Exbourne Village Hall. More information can be found at www.exbournepreschool.co.uk.

Sportsfield AGM - March 15 
Hatherleigh Sportsfield We will be holding the AGM on Monday 15th March in The Old Schools at 7.30pm. We would welcome new members to help look after a much improved facility. Trish Wonnacott (Secretary)

Ring Dem Bells - March 15 
Ring Dem Bells The Belvedere Handbell Ringers invite you to an open evening to “have a go” at handbell ringing anyone from 11 years to infinity are very warmly welcomed. There will be light refreshments available. The venue is the Vine Church room in High Street from 7pm to 9pm on Monday 15th March. It’s not necessary to read music!! Fay Kingford(sec)

Lent Lunches - March 16 
Lent Lunches Tuesday, 16th February & Tuesday, 16th March, 12.15 - 2pm Hatherleigh Old Schools. £3.50 for hot soup, cheese & fruit: just the thing for early spring days! In fact, 16th February is Shrove Tuesday, so not quite Lent, but maybe the chance of a pancake as well as soup. The charity we shall be supporting is Shelterbox.

Gardening Club - March 17 
Hatherleigh Gardening Club We start this year's programme by welcoming Jo Hynes who is county organiser for the National Gardens Scheme. Jo will give an illustrated talk on Open Gardens in Devon, including her own, Higher Cherubeer, which members may remember we paid an evening visit to a couple of years ago - and a lovely garden it is too. A talk now will leave us all well-placed to plan our garden visiting for the year and Devon certainly has a wealth to choose from. WI Jumble Sale - March 20 
Exbourne, Sampford Courtenay and Jacobstowe WI is holding a Jumble Sale in the village hall on Saturday March 20th at 2.15pm. All the usual stalls, plus cakes and produce. This is to raise money for WI funds.

Coffee Morning - March 23 
Flower Festival Coffee Morning Coffee Morning in aid of The Flower Festival on Tuesday 23 March 9.30 to 12.00 in Old Schools The theme of this years festival is Saints" and will run from Thursday 8 July until Sunday 11July. Any one who would like to help please contact Anne on 810612

Carnival AGM - March 29 
Carnival and Tar Barrel News The Carnival A.G.M meeting is on Monday 29th March 2010 at 7.30pm in The Old Schools. We would love to see new faces on the committee who share the same commitment to help keep this unique tradition going for future generations. The first Tar Barrel meeting of the year is on Wednesday 5th May 2010, 8.30pm at Hatherleigh Cricket Club. New members are welcome to come along. Kay Stevens - Hatherleigh Carnival Press Secretary

Monica's Murder Mystery. - April 10 
Monica's Murder Mystery. A murder mystery, complete with yummy 2 course supper will take place in Hatherleigh Community Centre on Saturday 10th April , starting at 730pm. This is a fundraiser for British Heart Foundation, and promises to be a rip-roaring evening. Come and solve who duunit. More information next month

Murder Mystery. - April 10 
Someone will be murdered in Hatherleigh Community Centre on Saturday 10th April at 7.30pm. A scrumptious Dinner will be served while the mystery is solved.

Pump AGM - April 14 
Pump AGM The Pump AGM is to be held on Wednesday 14th at 6:00pm. Everyone welcome.

Wine and Wisdom - April 24 
Wine and Wisdom In aid of Cancer Research On Saturday 24th April at Hatherleigh Community Centre. Doors and Bars open 6:30pm for 7:30pm start. £24 per team of 6 to include bottle of wine and platter of cheese. Raffle. Players AGM - April 30 
Hatherleigh Players AGM The Annual General Meeting of Hatherleigh Players will be held on Friday 30th April in Hatherleigh Community Centre , beginning at 7.30pm. All are very welcome. If you are interested in helping in any capacity, do come along.

Tar Barrel Meeting - May 5 
The Tar Barrel Committee held their final meeting on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 at The Cricket Club. The committee agreed that both barrel runs went smoothly, despite the sodden pull up on the Friday night. The pullers would like to say “well done and thank you” to all the children who braved the elements and helped get both sets of barrels up to Oakfield Road. You have real Carnival spirit. The Committee have decided to donate monies raised to Hatherleigh Fire Bridage and to the chosen Charity of The Half Moon at Sheepwash. 2010 Ruby Run - June 13 
This annual half-marathon will be run from Holsworthy to Hatherleigh this year.

Ruby Run - June 13 
Ruby Run 2010 At the meeting held on the 10th of February It has been decided that the profit for this year’s run will be shared 50/50 between Ruby Country and the Radio Devon Appeal to buy a new Air Ambulance for North Devon. This Helicopter will be based at Eaglescott near Dolton which is about five minutes flying time from Hatherleigh. The race will be on the Sunday the 13th June and finish in Hatherleigh and we hope that we top the 200 runners which is a record we had last year.

Exbourne Charity Walk - June 20  starting at 7.30am by Village Hall
Charity Walk in aid of Children's Hospice S.W. Includes most of the parish, including some river bank paths. Takes about 1 hour, commencing 7.30.am and followed by a full English breakfast on return.

Hatherleigh starlight ball. - September 4 
Fifth and final Hatherleigh starlight ball. All in aid of Charity Black and White Theme £50 per person Tables of ten or twelve or come as a couple 4th September 2010 7pm start with Bubbles and Canapes 8pm Sit down meal Do you wish to make a pledge for the silent auction, or a prize for the draw?
