Friday Night | Saturday Morning | Saturday Afternoon | Saturday Evening | Tar Barrels

Carnival 2009

November 14th 2009

Friday 13th evening, 8pm: watch the kids pull the tar barrels up to the top of the hill in readiness for Carnival Day. The 'Born to Run' Video of the Tar Barrels in 2007 may be shown in the Square immediately afterwards if we can find the equipment.

Saturday 14th, 5am: first flaming Tar Barrel run

10am: Eggesford Hunt meets by The George (RIP)

11am: Town Criers competition - Ros tells us that we have 24 coming this year! Ear plugs recommended.

2pm: Afternoon Procession to market. Crowning of Queen, Prince and Princess, plus Fancy Dress competition for walking guys.

7pm: Evening Procession

9pm approx (after the procession): Final flaming Tar Barrel run to close Carnival Day.
