Carnival 2006

Friday Evening

November 11th: Here's how the Barrels were pulled up to the top of the town by the kids, assisted by Tar Barrel Boys. The weather was against us and the air was filled with drizzle that turned to rain later. The light was extremely bad, the cameras got confused and keeping them dry proved difficult, so many of the shots are not very good. Most of them have been processed a bit too so the colours are strange.

The tee shirts get tried on for the first time

The Hatherleigh Jazz Band apears from its
mysterious lair near the church

We're on our way - Oggy Oggy Oggy ...

On the way up Market Street, using a long lens which foreshortens things a lot.
The barrels are partially hidden, to the left of the Teddy Bear.

Proper job!

And here are the ones who tried to keep a low profile!
