Carnival 2005

Saturday evening procession

This starts around 7pm and is led by Town Crier Ros Chard followed by two flaming crosses and the Hatherleigh silver Band. Next in line is the burning frame of 12 torches, one for each month of the year. The procession is accompanied by 52 flaming torches in all - one for each week of the year.

Here's a flavour - we took 1600 photos in all and there's no time to show more at the moment.

If you like what you see, then why not come to the Carnival Picture Show, which will take place sometime in the January/February period. Watch this site and street posters for details.
