'Allo 'Allo by the Hatherleigh Players
The Hatherleigh Players presented 'Allo 'Allo in May 2009. It was a departure from the norm, to say the least, but highly successful, with capacity audiences on three nights laughing and cheering throughout the performances at the Community Centre. It was a directorial debut for Alan Jones, normally seen in quite different circumstances in the supermarket. And if directing were not enough, Alan also protrayed the silly Officer Crabtree whose famous catchphrase 'Good Moaning' has entered the English language along with some others from this famous comedy.
Below you'll find images from the Dress Rehearsal; the lighting was not the best and some faces were missing. Nevertheless, you'll get a fine impression of the standard achieved together with the kind of laughs it generated ... including the final location of the van Klompf masterpiece 'The Fallen Madonna with the BIg Boobies'! |
